Pan Cookies


Ingredients:

2 sticks butter, softened
2 1/4 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar (preferably homemade)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 teaspoons Ovaltine chocolate malt powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)

1. Preheat oven to 375 degreed F. Cream butter and sugars in a mixer. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine until smooth.

2. Sift together flour, baking soda, Ovaltine, and salt in a medium bowl. Add to butter mixture. Mix until combined.

3. Add chocolate chips. Mix.

4. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Put dough into baking pan. Smooth top surface until even. Bake for about 15 minutes.

5. Remove pan from oven. Allow to cool about 10 minutes. Cut into squares and enjoy!
